Walbrzych

The City of Walbrzych is the administrative centre of a province of the same name in the south of Poland. The population of the city is about 140,000 people. It used to be a highly industrial city, but nowadays, due to its natural surroundings, it is becoming an important centre of tourism. The co-operation started in 1991 and apart from the official contacts it has included for example the universities in both cities. The mayor of the City of Walbrzych is Mr. Piotr Kruczkowski.
