Kaštela
Kaštela in Croatia is a seaside resort in the northern part of the country. It used to be a port of ancient Greece and in the period of the Roman empire, today it is a tourist centre with sandy beaches and many other tourist attractions. It became a partner town of Hradec Králové in 1992. The Mayor of Kaštela is Mr. Ivan Udovičić. This town was for the first time visited by the representatives of our city in the spring of 2000. In August 2001 an international seminar "Europe in Movement" took place in Kaštela and Hradec Králové was one of the participating members. Our cities have expressed interest to co-operate in the area of culture and ICT.
