Arnhem

Arnhem is the capital of the Gelderland province in the east of the Netherlands. It is situated on the river Rheine. The partnership started in 1992 when the official contract was signed. After he had retired, Mr. Paul Scholten, the former mayor of the city, was replaced by a new mayor, her name's Pauline Krikke. The mutual relations of our two cities focus mainly on sharing experience in the area of economic development. Cities are participating on common projets to improve ability of using EU structural funds.
