Alessandria

Alessandria is the administrative centre of the Piemonte region in northern Italy. It is situated on the confluence of two rivers, Bormida and Tanaro, south-east of the City of Torino. The town was founded in 1168. The twinning co-operation has lasted for a very long time, we celebrated the 40th anniversary in July 2001, and Hradec Králové city representatives took part in the official celebrations in Alessandria. The mayor of Alessandria is Mr. Piercarlo Fabbio.
