Lord Mayor of Hradec Králové Zdeněk Fink accepted the resignation of Leoš Kučera (independent candidate for Doma v
Hradci) from the post of Deputy Mayor on the 27th September 2011. He remains a member of the City Board.
„The reason of my resignation is the state of the art cinema Centrál which I directed and which is in serious difficulties due to the accumulation of debts from the previous period and after unsuccessful personal changes. Although this fact is not directly connected with the exercise of the position of deputy mayor and in this respect there is no conflict of interest, it is my moral obligation to try, for the city´s sake, maintain this unique project in Hradec Králové and prepare it for the eventual transformation to another legal entity suitable for a similar type of activity ", said to his resignation Leoš Kučera, who left the office on the 1st October 2011.
“I would like to thank Leoš Kučera as I was satisfied with his work in professional way. The situation is unpleasant, however there is not another solution acceptable across the political spectrum at the moment," said Mayor Zdeněk Fink.
Doma v Hradci is a part of the local government coalition from the 28th December 2010, when seventy-three days after the local election members of the City Board elected the present City Council.
