Hradec Králové got excellent results in the study comparing social situation of 63 biggest Czech cities. In the
study of MasterCard Czech Centers of Commerce which was processed by an expert team from the Prague University of
Economics Hradec Králové ranked second to third together with Prague, with Jindřichův Hradec taking the title.
During the valuation of quality of life experts watched twelve indicators divided into five areas: situation on the labor market, housing costs, quality of social and medical service, criminality and wage level. Hradec Králové got the best results in the area of quality of social and medical services which was divided in two categories. It reached the top rank in male life expectancy and it ranked third in female life expectancy. The life expectancy is the expected average number of years of life for particular age group. In Hradec Králové it is about 75,97 years for men and 80,84 years for women. This fact confirms the city´s winning title in the study published last year which evaluated quality of life in the Czech Republic. Also, the city ranked sixth in the lowest number of violent crimes per ten thousand inhabitants, which is another accomplishment.
