1. WHITE TOWER

Former the renaissace bell tower, completed in 1589. There is situated the second biggest bell in Bohemia. With its unusual timekeeping system where longer minute hand shows hours andshorter hand shows minutes the White tower becomes top-tourist city attraction. The tower is 71.5metres high.

2. MUSEUM OF EASTERN BOHEMIA

The monumental museum building, national cultural landmark, was realised according to theproject of the architect Jan Kotěra in 1909 - 1912. There are two city models: so-called Zaloudek´s shows the city at the time of a military stronghold and the city model from the year 2000.

3. GIANT AQUARIUM

With the underwater tunnel offers its visitors a direct encounter with tropical nature. You willalso find there sport facilities with a ricochet court, sauna and fitness centre.

4. MUSEUM OF AVIATION

Is being constructed at the airport in Vekose district. There the visiors will learn more about theaviation history in the Bohemia. If the weather is good, you can also see the perfomance of so-called Flying Circus.

5. ELBE STEAMERS

6. OBSERVATORY AND PLANETARIUM

7. BOTANICAL GARDEN OF MEDICAL PLANTS

Was founded as an education centre at the same time as the Faculty of Phramaceutics of theCharles University in 1969. The areas are divided into several sections: learning, botanical,phytotherapeutic, poisonous plants and producton areas.

8. GALLERY OF MODERN ART

9. CITY SPA - AQUACENTRE

Is the significant monument of the urban architecture of the 30´s of the last century. There isaquapark with many attracttions and simulated waves. For visiting there is also 50´ meterswimming pool

10. JIRÁSEK´S GARDENS

The gardens are situated on a triangular area bounded by the confluence of the Elbe and Orlicerivers. You will find there a number of rare tree species, the rests of the military fortification and St. Nicolas wooden Church from the begining of the16th century

11. WALKING ROUTES THROUGHT THE CITY

The first tour starts in front of the White Tower, second one in front of the Museum of EasternBohemia. There is a total of 24 informative stops on the walking routes. For better orientation theroutes have the arrows on the pavement kerbs. The total duration of the walk is approx.90 and 120 min.
